The Nations cup was a monthly tournament organised by lichess players kotsamposebe and stippi for National teams in the association of lichess clubs in 2020.

The finals are played each month with two group stages (A and B) with the top teams qualifying for the final. Matches are played as Arena team battles with 10 National teams in each match at 3|0 time control.
The England lichess English Players team won the inaugural Cup Event in February 2020 and has entered a team each month since then .

We finished 10th in the September final against some very strong opposition – so we have to wait another month for another try at winning back the cup which we last won in February.
